Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental procedure that brightens the existing color of natural teeth without removing the hard tooth substance.
There are many reasons why patients today choose to whiten their teeth, although tooth discoloration that comes with age is the most common.
Apart from the natural loss of tooth enamel shine, other common causes of discoloration are:
- food and drink stains (tea, coffee and red wine, cigarette smoking)
